North Hollywood to Pasadena Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project
Metro’s North Hollywood to Pasadena Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project is a 19-mile corridor designed to connect the cities of North Hollywood, Burbank, Glendale, Eagle Rock, and Pasadena with a high-quality bus service. The project includes 22 new bus stations and dedicated bus lanes, offering faster, more reliable service using zero-emission electric buses.
This project will enhance regional mobility between the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys by improving transit access to jobs, education, and key services—especially in areas that currently lack premium transit options.

What to Expect in Glendale
In Glendale, residents and businesses can expect:
Dedicated Bus Lanes
Bus-only lanes will be installed on Glenoaks Boulevard, Central Avenue, and Broadway to improve transit speed, mobility, and expand access using a zero-emission bus fleet. Electric buses will operate along the corridor, offering a quieter and cleaner option for transit riders.
Bike Lane Design Coordination
Metro has proposed dedicated bike lanes on Glenoaks Boulevard. The City is reviewing alignment options in relation to existing Class II lanes, with a focus on overall traffic safety and emergency access.
Trash Collection Access
Metro is working to address issues related to residential trash bins and future BRT lanes.
ADA and Pedestrian Improvements
Curb ramps and pedestrian paths will be upgraded to meet ADA standards. Improved drainage and accessibility are also being addressed at key intersections.
Utility Coordination
Upgrades and adjustments to sewer manholes, street lighting, and signal interconnects are being coordinated to accommodate Metro’s transit infrastructure while ensuring continued service, traffic safety, and long-term system reliability.
